I don’t know why people criticize this music, I mean the whole point of Sonic 4 was to bring Sonic to his original roots as a 2D side-scroller.
And the music is to make it sound like it did on Genesis, give Sega a break. At least they brought back some stuff? that appeared in the original games, like the boss fights.
I bet half of the people here who are hardcore Sonic fans may missed these battles and such
Plus they wanna try to add the same aspects of Modern Sonic, like the Homing Attack
